COMP works with three hi-tech CNC machines to make accurate bends. In certain types of benders, the part to be worked moves along with the lower tool.
It does not occur with our machines, as only the upper apron moves, keeping the part in the same work height, and therefore firmly supported on the rear limiter. Besides, the range of parts to be worked depends many times on the machine’s construction layout – which creates operational limitations.
Many problems can be solved in our case, as we offer a longer path of the upper tool and a free area / angle that is greater than that seen in other kinds of machines. Low positioning and bending speed always imply low productivity. This is not an issue at COMP; with our benders, the operator does not need (for instance) to go through the bending / tooling area to adjust the rear limiters in their lengthwise position. It assures an agile and safe operation.
- CNC BENDERS WITH ACB: Made by Trumpf. They include an angle measurement device for the bending procedure, at 3 different points, providing highly accurate bends, with perfect repeatability and linearity. The machines feature also an unique automatic angle control system (ACB), graphic simulation of bending sequence, length linearity up to 3,000 mm and thickness up to 5.0 mm.
